Andrew Baldock has over 20 years of work experience in various roles. From 1994 to 1998, they worked as a Web Developer/Support Specialist at UC Santa Cruz, where they were responsible for the design and execution of 10+ divisional websites using FileMaker and HTML, as well as managing multiple departmental servers and supporting 100+ workstations. In 1998, they moved to UC Berkeley, where they served as the Web Director until 2000. In this role, they managed a team to design, construct and launch the UC Berkeley gateway website, and was responsible for Information Architecture, UI Architecture, wireframes, FileMaker to PostgreSQL integration, HTML, CSS, SQL, and JavaScript. From 2000 to 2011, they worked at macys.com as a Senior Developer, where they were the Senior UI Developer for the presentation layer of an enterprise Java/Hibernate/Spring MVC Application running on top of Oracle 10g. From 2011 to 2013, they worked at Mindjet as a Senior Web Developer, responsible for www.mindjet.com. In 2013, they joined ConnectSolutions Inc. as a Senior Engineering Manager and Senior Software Engineer, where they lead a 4-person team of javascript and java developers to unify two complex, forked codebases into one software stack. Finally, from 2015 to present, they have been working at Sight Machine as a Frontend Engineering Manager and Senior Frontend Engineer, crafting intuitive, responsive, reusable UI.

Andrew Baldock began their educational journey at the University of California, Los Angeles, where they studied History from 1987 to 1990. Andrew then transferred to the University of California, Santa Cruz and obtained their Bachelor of Arts in Latin American Studies in 1994. Additionally, they are a Certified Usability Analyst from Human Factors International.
