Marcos Klein

Marcos Klein has worked in the software engineering field since 1997. Marcos began their career at Hughes Network Systems as a Member of Technical Staff 2, Software where they designed and developed the Digital Control Channel portion of IS-136 physical layer, as well as the Idle Mode for the Satellite Phone Protocol. In 1999, they joined Cisco Systems, Inc. as a Technical Lead I, Software, where they guided development groups in their migration from a shared monolithic software repository and release model towards a modular component based framework. In 2007, they became an Advisor and Co-Founder and CTO at CellSpin, where they designed version control and delivery architecture for an innovative tablet friendly HTML5 social interactive display advertising platform, and developed a web-based configuration interface for template ad products using jQuery, jQuery-UI and Django framework. In 2013, they joined Bitcasa, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer, and in 2016 they began working as a Senior Platform Engineer for Sight Machine.

Marcos Klein attended UC San Diego from 1992 to 1997, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
