Mike Schwartz has over 30 years of professional experience in the IT field. Mike began their career in 1986 with the US Air Force as an Application Developer. In 1991, they joined Pall Life Sciences as an IT Project Manager. During their time there, they developed and honed numerous skills in the small IT department, including Team Supervision, Application Development, Server/Database installation and setup, Network Installation, End User Support, and Training. Mike successfully lead the migration of the corporate Enterprise Resource System (ERP) from an external vendor system (CA-MRP) to an internal corporate system (MAPICS) running on an AS-400.
In 2000, Mike joined Great Lakes Technologies Group (GLTG) as an IT Project Manager. There, they managed the project to mitigate hard coded Chart of Accounts embedded within the 20 year old Accounts Payable system. Mike successfully lead the update and redeployment of numerous code packages, with no impact to the Accounts Payable business or supplier payments.
In 2003, Mike joined Ford Motor Company as an IT Product Manager. Mike managed an Agile development team using Scrum to deliver automated solutions in support of their implementation of DevOps for their corporate Data Ingestion application. Mike also built and led a global team of Software Engineers providing 24x7 support for new technology (Attunity/Sqoop) implemented to ingest all corporate legacy data into a single data lake (Hadoop), making it available for analytic applications throughout the company. Additionally, they led a global team of 25 supporting the Finance System Tools (FST) application written on Oracle and Teradata database structures.
Most recently, Mike joined Sight Machine in 2019 as a Technical Delivery Manager. Mike drives delivery of global projects from asset identification, through data ingestion, modeling, and delivery of key analytics, providing value to factories through OEE visibility and identifying areas for potential improvement. Mike is also able to facilitate the data ingestion of disparate machines on the factory floor, into a single data repository, which is then accessible through their dashboards of key analytics and made available to the OT teams for root cause analysis of quality, performance, and availability concerns.
Mike Schwartz has a BBA in Business Administration from Bellevue University and an Associate of Science in Management Information Systems from the Community College of the Air Force. Mike also holds certifications as a Certified ScrumMaster from the Scrum Alliance, a Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute, and a Six Sigma Black Belt from the Ford Motor Company.
