Sen Lu Tom Chen has worked in a variety of roles since 2011. From 2011-2012, they were the National Philanthropy Director for the Intercollegiate Taiwanese American Students Association (ITASA), where they coordinated an annual web-based national high school scholarship competition and promoted it via social media and the internet. In 2012, they were a Finance Research Assistant at the Kellogg School of Management, an Intern at Deloitte, and a Student Ambassador for the Formosa Foundation, where they campaigned in Congress and Senate to advocate for U.S. policies towards Taiwan. In 2013, they were a Consulting Intern at SAP, and in 2014 they were a Software Engineering Intern at Civis Analytics, where they designed, implemented, and tested a commenting system and recreated a database status page. Finally, from 2015-2017, they were a Software Developer at Forio, where they architected and implemented educational and business web applications on React/Redux or Backbone.js for clients.
Sen Lu Tom Chen attended Westtown School from 2007 to 2011 and then Northwestern University from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Computer Science and Economics.
