Dr. Dickerson has worked in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry for 36 years beginning in 1984 at Alcon Laboratories where he was first employed as a biochemist, later, in Clinical Development-Glaucoma, and most recently as the Global Medical Affairs lead for surgical glaucoma.
Jaime was also with Healthpoint Biotherapeutics and Smith and Nephew where he served as Vice President of Global Clinical Operations.
Dr. Dickerson is the author of ~60 peer-reviewed publications in the fields of biochemistry, clinical ophthalmology, and chronic wounds and is a reviewer for several journals in the fields of ophthalmology and wound healing.
Dr. Dickerson received B.S. (Biology), B.A. (Chemistry), and M.S. (Biology) degrees from the University of Texas at Arlington, and his Ph.D. degree (Biomedical Sciences-Biochemistry) from the University of North Texas Health Science Center where he holds an adjunct Associate Professor appointment with the North Texas Eye Research Institute.
