Shawn Hay has a diverse work experience that spans different industries. Shawn started their professional career as a Professional Football Player for the National Football League (NFL) from 2001 to 2002. After that, they worked as a Mortgage Broker at Premier Home Lending from 2003 to 2007, where they originated residential and commercial real estate loans and built and maintained business relationships. From 2007 to 2011, they served as a Sales and Business Development Manager at LandCare LLC. In this role, they managed sales and business development activities.

In 2011, Shawn joined Bausch + Lomb as a Vision Care Territory Manager, where they executed sales calls to eye care practitioners to promote contact lenses and solutions. Shawn also implemented account-specific programs, analyzed doctors' business needs, and won the Sales Excellence award in 2012. From 2013 to 2016, they worked at Alcon as an Account Manager for Vision Care, where they executed sales calls to promote specialty contact lenses and solutions, implemented account-specific programs, and assessed doctors' business needs.

Moving on to a more specialized role, Shawn worked at Alcon as a Surgical Glaucoma Account Manager from 2016 to 2019. Here, they were responsible for launching CyPass Micro Stent, a minimally invasive glaucoma surgery device, and conducted FDA-mandated training and certification for Ophthalmic Surgeons and surgical staff. Since 2019, Shawn has been working at Sight Sciences, Inc. In their current role as Regional Sales Director, Surgical, they oversee the sales operations for the Omni Surgical System, a minimally invasive glaucoma surgical device.
