Wendy Nather

Wendy Nather is a cybersecurity expert currently in transition and serving as a Committee Member for the Cyber Hard Problems at the National Academy of Sciences since February 2024. Wendy holds various prominent roles, including Steering Committee Member for the Ransomware Task Force at the Institute for Security and Technology, Presidential Advisory Board Member at the SANS Technology Institute, and Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council's Cyber Statecraft Initiative. Additionally, Wendy is a Board Member at Sightline Security and has held significant positions at Cisco, including Director of Strategic Engagements and Head of Advisory CISOs within the Security Strategy Office. Wendy's career also includes advisory roles with Team8 and a fellowship at the Strauss Center for International Security and Law. Wendy received a degree from The University of Texas at Austin between 1980 and 1984.
