Mark Ruesink has extensive experience in customer success, platform architecture, systems engineering, enterprise architecture, and technology. Mark began their career in 2004 as the Chief Technology Officer at ObjectStar. In 2005, they took on the same role at Praedea and also worked at TIBCO as Mainframe Strategy (ObjectStar integration). Mark then founded Compliance11, where they were the Chief Technology Officer until 2007. After that, they founded School Town, a secure collaboration and social networking platform for mentor led groups, where they served as the Chief Technology Officer until 2009. From 2009 to 2011, they were the Chief Architect at Software AG. Mark then joined VMware in 2011 as the Director of Systems Engineering for vFabric EMEA. In 2013, they moved to Pivotal, where they held the roles of Senior Director of Customer Success and Director of Platform Architecture. In 2020, they joined VMware again as the Senior Director of Customer Success for Tanzu. Most recently, in 2021, they became the VP of Customer Success at Sigma Computing.
Mark Ruesink attended Illinois State University from 1989 to 1993, where they obtained a B.S. in Physics. Mark then attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1993 to 1995, where they obtained an M.S. in Physics. From 1995 to 1997, they attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign again, this time studying Computer Science.
