Rounak Salim

Rounak Salim has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Rounak started their career as a Teaching Assistant and Undergraduate Research Assistant at Vanderbilt University in 2015. During this time, they also served as a Facilities Manager, responsible for the smooth functioning of campus buildings and overseeing the Centers Associates manning the front desks.

In 2017, Rounak interned as a Software Engineer at Intuit. Rounak returned to Intuit in 2018 and worked as a Software Engineer, specializing in tinkering with a DSL created during an earlier internship. In 2020, they were promoted to Software Engineer II.

Rounak joined Skylo Technologies in 2020 as a Software Engineer, where they built a network scheduler using NB-IoT over satellite and developed an end-to-end system for utilizing multicast protocol. Rounak also prototyped and tested solutions for the Network Management System, showcasing their Python proficiency.

In 2022, Rounak interned as a Software Engineer at Bolt. Rounak then transitioned to Sigma Computing in 2023, where they currently work as a Software Engineer, responsible for exporting various things.

Rounak Salim completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Mathematics at Vanderbilt University from 2014 to 2018. During their time there, they also pursued a minor in Scientific Computing. Following that, they attended San Jose State University from 2021 to 2022, where they obtained a Master's degree in Computer Software Engineering.
