Gavin Garside, Ph.D., is an accomplished materials engineer with extensive experience across various companies in the aerospace and nuclear sectors. Currently serving as Chief Materials Engineer and Founder at Sigma Phase, Garside contributes to significant advancements in rocket launch consulting and material qualification programs. Previous roles include Principal Engineer at USNC, where responsibilities involved establishing a leading materials research and development facility, and Director of Materials Development at USNC-Tech, overseeing a team that secured a $5M contract from NASA and the Department of Energy for novel nuclear fuel prototype development. Garside's career also includes impactful positions at SpaceX, Metal Technology, and ATI Specialty Alloys & Components, alongside a strong academic foundation with a Ph.D. in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Utah.
