Sihamba Sonke, meaning "Walking Together" in isiXhosa, is a registered non-profit organization based in Zithulele, Eastern Cape, South Africa. Founded in 2018, our mission is to cultivate value-driven, purposeful leaders among rural youth through mentorship and holistic community development.

Our Mission:
We aim to grow thriving communities by raising up leaders who live with character, purpose, and vision. Guided by neuroscience and transformation theory, our work is shaped by three core pillars:
1. Develop Facilitators into Mentors: We equip local facilitators with emotional intelligence, relational skills, and leadership tools to become impactful mentors.
2. Grow Individuals with Character: Through our flagship "Move with Purpose" chess curriculum, we teach cognitive and life skills while embedding values like responsibility, integrity, and perseverance.
3. Cultivate Healthy Communities: We foster a sense of belonging through youth groups, chess clubs, and positive peer networks that reinforce the values we teach.

Our Programmes:

- Mentorship Initiatives: One-on-one and group mentorship to support personal growth and leadership.
- Leadership Camps & Community Events: Empowering youth through immersive experiences and public celebrations of growth.

Our Impact:
Our programmes have improved focus, behavior, and self-confidence in hundreds of rural youth. Alumni have become peer mentors, school leaders, and community changemakers. Parents and teachers report stronger discipline, respect, and hope in participants.
