Peter Vargas

Peter Vargas worked as the Security Operations VP at Siigo since January 2022. Peter'sresponsibilities included designing, building, implementing, and developing the SecOps team and managing the cybersecurity personnel.

Prior to Siigo, Peter held positions at the Dirección de Investigación Criminal e INTERPOL. From March 2017 to January 2022, they served as the Chief of Cybercrime Investigations. Before that, from October 2009 to February 2017, they worked as an Investigator at the Centro Cibernético Policial.

Peter Vargas has a diverse education history. In 2018, they completed a degree in Ingeniería de sistemas from Universidad Nacional Abierta y a Distancia. Prior to that, they pursued various certifications and courses in the field of information security and digital forensics. This includes completing the Information Security for Technical Staff program at Carnegie Mellon University in 2014. Peter also obtained certifications such as CHFI - Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator from EC-Council in 2016. Additionally, they participated in several courses related to cybercrime investigation and incident response from institutions like the Gendarmería Nacional Francesa and Agencia Antiterrorista ATA.
