Lainy Cano

Lainy Cano, CPA, CFE, CFF, PMP, is a seasoned professional in accounting and forensic consulting, currently serving as a Senior Manager at Sikich since January 2024. Lainy has held senior managerial roles at Cotton from April 2022 until its acquisition by Sikich and at Cotton & Company LLP from July 2012 to March 2022. Prior experience includes a Director position at FTI Consulting, where Lainy specialized in litigation consulting and forensic accounting, contributing to expert reports and supervising junior staff. Lainy's career began at Alcoa as a General Ledger Accountant, followed by a Senior Auditor role at Cotton & Company LLP and an Experienced Associate position at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where significant project management experience was gained on the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund. Lainy holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Penn State University and completed the Fairfax County Citizens Police Academy in 2011.
