Rick Thompson

Rick Thompson is a retired Tax Partner at Sikich LLP, where they focused on income tax, estate tax, and financial planning for closely-held businesses and individual clients since 1992. Prior to that, Rick served as a Tax Manager at Coopers & Lybrand from 1979 to 1992. With over 30 years of experience, they specialized in transactional services such as business entity selection, succession planning, and mergers and acquisitions, serving clients across various industries. Rick holds both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Accountancy from Northern Illinois University and has contributed to numerous publications while also teaching and speaking on taxation topics.
