Torben Eskelund

Torben Eskelund has a diverse and extensive work experience in the logistics and supply chain industry. Torben is currently serving as the Chief Operations Officer at Silal, a company in Abu Dhabi focused on diversifying food sources and increasing local food production. Prior to this role, they were a Board Member at the Danish Business Council Dubai.

From 2017 to 2020, Eskelund served as the Chief Executive Officer at Centre Point Logistics (CPL), where they added value to Dubai's logistics sector through innovative solutions and strategic partnerships. Torben also founded and owned BoxGrove FZE - Management Consulting, specializing in supply chain and logistics management, from 2016 to 2018.

Before that, Eskelund had an extensive career at DSV Air & Sea LLC, starting as a Freight Forwarding & Logistics Apprentice in 2001 and eventually becoming the Managing Director. Torben led and managed teams across multiple locations and played a key role in the company's growth and development.

Eskelund also has previous experience serving in logistics and supply divisions in the Royal Danish Army.

Torben Eskelund has completed several educational programs and certifications throughout their career. Torben attended Roskilde Business College from 2001 to 2003, specializing in Freight Forwarding and Shipping Business. In 2000, they received training at the Officer Academy Training, Royal Danish Army Logistics School, Aalborg, Denmark, focusing on Leadership, Management, and Military Logistics. Prior to that, in 1999, they attended the Sergeant School, Royal Danish Army Logistics School, Aalborg, Denmark. Torben also took a Business English Course at Aspect International Language School in Toronto, Canada in 1998. Torben obtained their Higher Diploma in Commerce and Economics (HHX) from Aars Business School, Denmark, from 1995 to 1998. Lastly, they completed their secondary education at a Danish Secondary School from 1985 to 1995. In addition to their formal education, Torben has obtained several certifications, including Introduction to ESG, International Yacht Training, Change Management, Quick Fixes for Poor Customer Service, Open Circuit Diver Level 3, Tec Gas Blender, and Rescue Diver.
