Patrick Nercessian has over 19 years of experience in engineering. In 2020, they began working as the Lead Engineer, Embedded Systems at SiLC Technologies, Inc. From 2018 to 2020, they worked as a Staff FPGA Design Engineer at Cruise, where they developed algorithms to acquire and maintain injection locking of a laser to a resonator. From 2001 to 2018, they worked at Alfred Mann Foundation as a Project Lead, Principal Design Engineer, Senior Design Engineer, and Electrical Engineer. As Project Lead, they led a cross-disciplinary team of engineers through the design cycle of a novel prosthetic control system. As Senior Design Engineer, they designed mitigation features to accommodate interference from incumbent RF user signals. As Electrical Engineer, they modeled DSP architectures and algorithms, and designed circuits in an FPGA platform.
Patrick Nercessian completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Caltech in 2001. Patrick then went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and VLSI Design from the University of Southern California, which they completed in 2007.
