James McIntosh

James McIntosh is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in mechanical and design engineering, particularly in subsea and sensor technologies. Currently serving as a Principal Mechanical Engineer at Silicon Micro Gravity since May 2019, James contributes to the development of advanced gravimeters and gyroscopes for navigation and surveying applications. Previous roles include positions at Zettlex as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, where James focused on magnetic positional encoders, and at JDR Cable Systems in various capacities, including Lead Development Engineer, where responsibilities spanned design qualification, project management, and automation of design tools. James also has a strong background in subsea technology from positions at TRONIC LTD, the National Oceanography Center, and the Lamont Doherty Earth Observatory.
