Alexander May has worked in the embedded/real-time/automotive industry since 2003. In 2003, they began as a Technical Lead/Software Design Engineer at Texas Instruments, Germany. There, they were responsible for requirements, analysis, design, programming, testing, integration, debugging and modification of a 2.5/3G mobile phone protocol stack. Alexander also served as Technical Lead for Call Control, Supplementary Services, and SMS for two years.
In 2007, they moved to Icera Semiconductor Inc. as a Software Design Engineer. In 2011, they joined NVIDIA as a Senior Software Engineer, working on protocol stack/modem/embedded/real-time projects.
In 2016, they began working at Silicon Mobility as a Senior Application Engineer. Theirroles included designing, implementing and presenting electrical powertrain applications, creating user guides, application notes and training material, and documenting an automotive chipset. Alexander also worked as a Technical Writer and System Integration for Mobile Communication (Freelance) at Sequans Communications, and as a Software Engineer - Specialist Wireless Communication at Visteon Corporation.
Alexander May's education history includes attending the Geschwister Scholl Gymnasium from 1993 to 1999, where they earned a 1.7 in Mathmatics and Physik. Alexander then attended the Siemens Technik Akademie from 1999 to 2001, where they earned a 1.7 in Datatechnics and Communication Systems. Finally, they attended the Berlin University of Applied Sciences Berlin (BHT) from 2001 to 2003, where they earned a 1.3 - very good in Communication Systems.
