Ramon Buckland is an experienced software engineering professional with a diverse background in technology consulting and architectural roles. Currently serving as the Head of Software Engineering at Silicon Quantum Computing since October 2022, Ramon has also held significant positions such as Principal Consultant at Inosion since December 2011, focusing on financial systems architecture and technology strategies. Previous roles include VP of Strategic Architecture at vArmour and Executive Consultant at Commonwealth Bank, specializing in network and data security. Notably, Ramon has worked as a Scala Big Data Architect at Intel Corporation and has extensive consulting experience with firms like AEGON UK and Cake Solutions Limited. A veteran in web architecture, Ramon led technological directions for Friends Life group following its merger. Educational qualifications include a degree in Information Technology from Queensland University of Technology and a computing science degree from the University of New England.
