Silicon Road gets companies that plan to sell their business or raise capital ready to achieve the best outcome. Our team works with clients to create a compelling business narrative in support of the transaction, and prepares clients to provide acquirers/investors with evidence affirming that narrative throughout the process.

Our team brings transaction discipline and relevant strategy, operations and finance expertise. Each Managing Director has over 20 years of experience operating, advising, investing in and/or financing companies. Together, they have raised over $450M, invested $2.5Bn as principal investors and advised on over 85 M&A and capital market transactions.

With the CEO and designated team, we map out the process and help the company get ready for the demands of marketing itself to outsiders. In particular, we…
…review the company’s goals for the transaction and evaluate their consistency with the company’s situation, history and strategy;
…develop a narrative that ties together the company’s past, developments in its industry, its unique capabilities, positioning, strategy and other elements, into a story that is credible, appealing and consistent with the company’s objectives for the transaction;
…refine financial models where necessary to support industry and/or financing metrics, scenario planning, valuation analysis, returns analysis, etc;
…create marketing documents for the company that convincingly tie factual information into the structure of the narrative to position the company as a desirable target for the transaction;
…prepare the company to provide and organize the preliminary due-diligence items necessary to allow an interested party to provide an LOI;
…identify issues early-on that may jeopardize a transaction or negatively affect its terms, and manage their remediation and/or disclosure strategy; and,
…prepare and rehearse the company’s leadership team to successfully present the business to investors and answer their questions.
