ASIC Physical Design Engineer at Si-Vision

Abdelrahman Ruby has a diverse work experience in the fields of ASIC physical design, electronics and circuits tutoring, digital design research, software engineering, and workshop participation. Abdelrahman worked as an ASIC Physical Design Engineer at Si-Vision since October 2020. Prior to that, they served as an Electronics and Circuits Tutor at an educational startup from June 2019 to September 2019. Abdelrahman also gained research experience as a Digital Design (BackEnd) Research Intern at Cairo University - Opto-Nano-Electronics (ONE lab), where they contributed to a project focused on minimizing the area and power consumed by a security encryption standard. Abdelrahman published a paper in the International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS) 2020 conference based on this project. Additionally, they participated in a workshop organized by Mentor Graphics in February 2018. Earlier in their career, Abdelrahman worked as a Software Engineer for their bachelor's project at the HCI lab of the University of Stuttgart. In this role, they developed different visualizations for a head-mounted display aimed at firefighters, utilizing C++, OpenCV, Visual Studio, and Unity.

Abdelrahman Ruby pursued their Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The German University in Cairo, completing their studies from 2013 to 2018. In addition to their degree, they obtained certifications including an Embedded Automotive and AUTOSAR Course instructed by Mohamed Tarek, a senior employee at Mentor Graphics, in December 2019. Abdelrahman also obtained an Embedded Systems Diploma from IMT Center in the same month and year.
