Here, they built an IT Office Automation network for a newly established Department of Defense (DOD) agency, following DOD security and infrastructure guidelines. Sayed Farid also created agency policies and procedures governing security and incident response.

In 2003, Sayed Farid Abass briefly worked as a Sr. Network Deployment Engineer at Information System Security Solutions, Inc. (IS3).

From 1999 to 2002, Sayed Farid Abass was a Senior Network System Consultant and Project Manager at Lucent Technologies. In this role, they led ATM engineering and project coordination for building a worldwide communication network for a major Internet Service Provider (ISP). Sayed Farid also managed SLAs, RFI, RFPs, and various network protocols.

In 1999, Sayed Farid Abass started their career as a PS Consultant at International Network Services, where they worked until 2000.
