Cybersecurity Engineer at Silotech Group, Inc

Patrick Quenga has extensive experience in the field of cybersecurity and information assurance. Patrick has held various roles in different organizations, starting from their most recent position as a Cybersecurity Engineer at Silotech Group, Inc, where they worked as an ISSO for US Air Force Cloud networks. In this role, they were responsible for performing RMF duties to bring commercial cloud instances onto the DoDIN, while also leveraging cloud security solutions to meet Risk Management Framework requirements.

Prior to this, Patrick worked as a Graduate Student at the University of Maryland Global Campus, where they furthered their education in the field of cybersecurity.

Before joining Silotech Group, Inc, Patrick worked at CSRA Inc, where they held two roles. In their first role as a Cybersecurity Engineer at United States Africa Command - J62, they served as a Cybersecurity Analyst responsible for the security posture of all IT infrastructure. Patrick also assisted with the development of security policies for CCRI and RMF. In their second role as the J6 Operations Lead at United States European Command, Patrick was responsible for the overall operations and security of information systems, architecture, video teleconferencing, and voice over IP. Patrick managed a team of 98 personnel and provided leadership and mentorship to IT professionals supporting the USEUCOM mission.

Before their time at CSRA Inc, Patrick worked as an Information Assurance Security Specialist at Lynxnet, LLC, where they were responsible for the information security and network security for an Army Intelligence Brigade. Patrick also worked with various security frameworks and tools such as DIACAP, CCRI, DAIG-IA, C&A, Remedy, ACAS, Nessus, and eMASS.

Patrick's earlier experience includes roles at United States Army Pacific Command, G6, where they served as a Senior Network Management Technician and managed telecommunication projects and budget for Army networks in the Pacific region. Patrick also worked as an Information Assurance Technician and Network Management Technician at 106th Signal Brigade and 7th Theater Tactical Signal Brigade, where they were responsible for the security and architecture of Army networks.

Additionally, Patrick's experience extends to working in international environments, such as their role as a Cybersecurity Engineer at the Joint Network Operations Control Center (JNCC) in Afghanistan, where they were responsible for the overall security of Afghan networks. Patrick also worked as an Information Assurance Manager and Automation OIC at 22nd Signal Brigade, V Corps, and as a Cybersecurity Engineer and Information Assurance Manager at Joint Network Operations Control Center - Iraq (JNCC-I), where they oversaw the security of military IT systems.

Patrick Quenga has a strong educational background in cybersecurity and computer information systems. Patrick obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Cybersecurity Technology from the University of Maryland Global Campus in 2020, following their completion of a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Information Systems from the same institution in 2013. Prior to their undergraduate studies, Patrick earned an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in General Studies from New Mexico State University from 1996 to 1998.

Regarding their military education, Patrick attended the US Army Signal School twice. In 2008, they completed the 255A Information Systems Technician Warrant Officer Advanced Course, while in 1999, they finished the 251A Information Systems Technician Warrant Officer Basic Course.

On top of their formal education, Patrick has obtained various certifications to enhance their expertise. Some of their certifications include Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) from DISA in May 2023, Certified Expert RMF Professional (CERP) from Lunarline, Inc in June 2016, Information System Security (INFOSEC) Professional from Lunarline, Inc in June 2016, Senior IA Systems Manager from Lunarline, Inc in June 2016, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in March 2015, Network+ CE from CompTIA in December 2014, HBSS ePO Administrator from DISA in August 2009, and Security+ CE from CompTIA in January 2011.
