Jin Cho

Jin Cho is a highly experienced engineer with extensive expertise in TCAD and semiconductor device design. Currently serving as Principal Engineer at Silvaco Inc since September 2018, Jin has contributed to significant advancements in the optimization of gate transistors for advanced 3D NAND memory cells. Prior to this role, Jin held various positions at GLOBALFOUNDRIES from June 2009, including Sr. Manager of Global TCAD, where contributions included invited talks and analyses on FinFET devices and other cutting-edge technologies. Jin's earlier experience spans roles at AMD, T-RAM, and Samsung Electronics, alongside a Ph.D. from Stanford University focusing on Surrounding Gate Transistor under the advisement of James D. Plummer. Throughout a career marked by innovation and leadership, Jin has published numerous significant papers in respected conferences in the field.
