John Cary

John Cary is a Senior Director at Silvaco and a Professor at the University of Colorado Boulder. With extensive experience in computational science, they previously served as Chief Technology Officer and Chairman of the Board at Tech-X Corporation from 1994 to 2025, and as CEO from 1994 to 2022. They also held a position as Senior Research Associate at the University of Texas, specializing in plasma physics research, and contributed to intense charged particle beam research at Los Alamos National Laboratory. Cary earned a Bachelor's Degree in Math and Physics, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of California, Irvine, and a PhD in Plasma Physics from the University of California, Berkeley.
