The majority of working professionals in Canada are in the “sandwich generation”, providing care for both children and parents. At an estimated cost of more than $2,000 per employee per year, the cost to business is in the billions. The number of seniors will almost double by 2030 to make up 25% of Canada’s population. One in three in that group will be 80 years of age or older, so the problem will only grow.

It was once said “it takes a village to raise our children,” and we now see that the same applies to caring for our seniors.
