Dan Cathie

Dan Cathie has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Dan is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of Silveray since July 2022. Before that, from December 2021 to February 2022, they worked at Nordson Corporation as an AI/ML lead and X-ray Technology Consultant, focusing on developing AI/ML/DL models for inspection systems. Prior to this, they served as the Business Director at Nordson Corporation from September 2020 to December 2021.

From June 2015 to September 2020, they were the CEO of vivaMOS Ltd, where they successfully led the start-up and growth of the company, specializing in CMOS X-ray detectors. The company was eventually acquired by Nordson Corporation.

Dan also has experience as the Managing Director of Enterprise Q Ltd from July 2009 to May 2015, where they were responsible for maintaining the existing customer base and planning for sustainable growth. Dan also briefly served as the Business Development Director at the same company from February 2009 to July 2009.

Earlier in their career, Dan held positions at NXP Semiconductors. Dan worked as a Business Development Manager from July 2007 to January 2009, with additional responsibilities as a Business Partnership & Quality Manager from February 2006 to June 2007. Prior to that, they served as a Customer Service Manager from November 2004 to January 2006. Dan also worked as a BenQ Customer Champion from September 2003 to October 2004.

Dan's earliest roles include working as an IC Design Engineer and Project Team Leader from September 1998 to August 2003 at NXP Semiconductors. Dan was responsible for designing and enhancing CD/DVD chipsets and leading project teams.

Dan Cathie attended the University of Southampton from 1994 to 1998, earning a Bachelor's degree in Information Engineering (Electronics). Following that, from 2000 to 2003, they attended Southampton Business School and obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA).
