Kris Gillespie

Kris lives and breathes tech. Since he was eight he’s been using computers and started coding. Having travelled extensively as a kid, around Australia and abroad, he has an affinity for people and other cultures. Self taught, having entered the industry at 17, Kris has been everything from Systems/Network/Storage Engineer, Product Owner, Scrum Master, Team Lead and now focused on DevOps, the natural culmination of this path.

Kris worked extensively with the big banks in The Netherlands. The ING/Postbank merger, ABNAMRO/Fortis merger and recently again with ING Wholesale being a driver for automation. Contributed writing multiple expert certification exams for IBM and EMC, developing the exam and questions taken by thousands of hopefuls worldwide.

Kris is proud to join Silverflow, which is developing a cutting-edge global scale cloud native service. As Principal DevOps Engineer, he will take ownership of ensuring the platform is performant, scalable, resilient and secure, while making sure their developers can seamlessly deliver. Kris will cultivate the DevOps engineering culture at Silverflow, ensuring they have the talent to deliver a world class service.
