Sim Yap has a diverse work experience in the cybersecurity industry, starting as a Software Engineer at CISRA in 2000. Sim later worked as an Identity Management Specialist at Agreon before joining KPMG First Point Global as a Principal Consultant. At KPMG Australia, they served as the Sydney Practice Lead for Digital Trust and Identity. Subsequently, they moved to Imperva, first as a Principal Pre-Sales Consultant and then as the Regional Head of Pre-Sales Consulting for APAC Banking & Financial Services and Australia/NZ. Currently, Sim Yap is the Director of Sales Engineering for APAC at Silverfort, specializing in Unified Identity Protection Platforms.
Sim Yap completed a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Computer Engineering at UNSW from 1997 to 1999. They then furthered their education by obtaining a Master of Commerce in Finance from UNSW from 2003 to 2005. Additionally, in December 2009, they obtained the (ISC)² Security CISSP certification from (ISC)².
