Joel Shaw

Joel Shaw has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry. Joel is currently working at Silverwell Energy Limited as the Product Line VP. Prior to this role, they served as the Product Line Manager and Chief Mechanical Engineer at the same company. Before joining Silverwell Energy Limited, Joel owned and operated a custom automobile engine shop called SeriousHP, where they managed a team of eight and provided consultation to customers. Joel also worked at Baker Hughes as a Product Line Manager, Intelligent Well Systems, working on product design, improvements, and technical support for customers. At Halliburton / WellDynamics, Joel worked as a Global Advisor, New Technologies and Business Development, leading projects related to control technologies and optimization of production. Joel also served as an Applications Manager, leading the design, development, and testing of equipment. Earlier in their career, Joel worked at Weatherford as a Sr. Design Engineer, specializing in wireline tools. Joel started their career at Hydril as a Research and Mechanical Engineer, where they focused on utilizing carbon fiber and fiberglass materials in oil and gas equipment.

Joel Shaw pursued their education starting in 1992 at Texas A&M University, where they studied Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis on Computer Engineering. Joel completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in 1997. Years later, in 2022, Joel enrolled at Wharton Executive Education. During their time there, which lasted until 2023, they received specialized training to become a Chief Technology Officer, focusing on the field of study specifically related to this role.
