Charley Lu

Charley Lu, PhD, is a highly accomplished engineer with extensive experience in FPGA development, biometrics, and hardware acceleration for deep learning. Currently serving as a Senior FPGA Engineer at Silvus Technologies, Charley is at the forefront of MIMO technology, contributing to safety and connectivity solutions. Prior positions include Principal Engineer at Intellisense Systems, where Charley focused on FPGA-based hardware for RF signal processing and computer vision, and Director of Engineering at Thales, overseeing global R&D for biometrics hardware and software. With a foundational career at Gemalto and 3M Cogent, Charley has demonstrated leadership in technology development and project management across various engineering disciplines. Charley holds a PhD in Pattern Recognition and Intelligent Control, along with a Master's and Bachelor's degree from Tsinghua University in related fields.
