Jesse Chen has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Their most recent position is Vice President of Operations at Silvus Technologies, where they have been since July 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Operations at the same company from August 2019 to July 2021. Prior to that, Jesse Chen was a Senior Wireless Hardware Engineer at Silvus Technologies from October 2010 to August 2013. Jesse was responsible for launching Silvus' first commercial product line, the StreamCaster MIMO Mesh-Network Radio System. Jesse also served as the technical research lead for multiple SBIR programs, including enhancements for the Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) and Universal Co-site Jammer Cancellation.

Before joining Silvus Technologies, Jesse Chen worked as a Hardware Engineer at Leach International from 2002 to 2005. In this role, they focused on design and project engineering for aircraft applications, including solid-state power controllers, relays, and electronic control units.

Prior to their industry experience, Jesse Chen worked as a Graduate Researcher at the UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science from September 2005 to October 2007. Jesse conducted research in multi-antenna, air-to-ground wireless communications and physical channel characterization and designed an experimental dual-band RF transceiver module for a software-defined wireless research platform.

Jesse Chen has a extensive educational background in the field of engineering. Jesse obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering as well as a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Engineering from UC Irvine from 2001 to 2005. Jesse then pursued further studies at UCLA, where they earned a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering from 2005 to 2007. Subsequently, they completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Wireless Systems at UCLA from 2009 to 2014. Most recently, Jesse attended the UCLA Anderson School of Management from 2018 to 2021 to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) through the Fully Employed Program.
