Chris Henry has a diverse work experience in the field of technology. Chris is currently working as a Lead Platform Engineer at Sim Local. Prior to this, they worked at FINEOS, where they held multiple roles including Platform Architect, Lead DevOps Engineer, and Senior DevOps Engineer. At FINEOS, they were responsible for developing automated infrastructure provisioning using various technologies such as Cloudformation, Ansible, and Jenkins.
Before joining FINEOS, Chris worked at Equifax - Australia as a Linux Systems Engineer, where they combined configuration management tools with systems administration tasks. Chris also took on the responsibility of implementing Linux environments authentication.
Chris has also gained experience working at H&R Block as a Linux Infrastructure Engineer, at Sagepay as an Operations Engineer, and at Realex Payments in various roles including System Administrator and Integration and Support Analyst. These roles involved tasks such as system maintenance, technical support, and developing file processing systems.
Additionally, Chris has interned at Irish Life & Permanent as a Software Engineer and at CLARITY centre for sensor web technologies as a Research Intern. In these internships, they gained experience in application development using C# and C++.
Chris Henry attended Skerries Community College from 2002 to 2008, where they obtained their Leaving Certificate. Chris then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Digital Media Engineering at Dublin City University from 2008 to 2012.
In terms of additional certifications, Chris completed the RHCSA7 Training Course at Linux Academy in June 2016. Chris also obtained the RHCSA 7 certification from Red Hat in September 2016. Furthermore, Chris obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services in November 2018, and later achieved the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification from the same institution in June 2020.
