Jeff Thomas

Jeff Thomas has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Jeff is currently working as the Senior Director of Infrastructure Operations at SiMa.ai, a machine learning company focused on embedded edge technology. Prior to this, they spent 18 years at MarkLogic as the Vice President of IT and Facilities, where they were responsible for IT strategy, equipment purchasing, and implementation of scalable software development platforms. Jeff also has a background as a Network and Datacenter Consultant, specializing in Linux/Unix and Cisco network and server infrastructure. Jeff has worked with companies such as Ascent Media, where they designed IP networks for Verizon's FiOS project, and Catalytic, Inc, where they built the company's initial infrastructure and developed software prototypes. Earlier in their career, Jeff founded and operated a regional Internet service provider and held software engineering positions at Kubota Graphics and Metaware.

Jeff Thomas completed their BA in Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Cruz, from 1986 to 1990. Later, they pursued an MBA (Master of Business Administration) in Business Administration and Management, General at the Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business from 2013 to 2014.
