Ruel Parent

Ruel Parent has over thirty years of professional experience in engineering and design. In 1990, they began their career as a Lab Assistant at Lucas / Signatone Corp. In 1995, they worked as a Software Tester at Space Dynamics Laboratory. In 1996, they were an Intern at Campbell Scientific. From 1997 to 2001, they held various positions at General Dynamics, including Member of Technical Staff, where they worked on hardware and software integration and design and developed C code in VxWorks real time system. From 2001 to 2020, they worked at Broadcom, where they held the roles of Senior Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer IC Design, and Senior Principal Engineer. In 2020, they began their current role as Senior Principal Engineer at SiMa.ai.

Ruel Parent completed a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) from Stanford University between 1999 and 2001. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical Engineering from Utah State University between 1995 and 1997. Ruel also earned an Associate of Arts (AA) and Associate of Science (AS) in Mathematics and Physics from West Valley College between 1990 and 1994.
