Business Development - Government at SIMBA Chain

Chris Root has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Chris began their career in 1987 at Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) as an Aerospace Engineer and held various positions within the organization, including Adversary Acft and Multiple Programs Section Head and Fighter/Attack Aircraft Strength Branch Head. In 2003, they became the Structures Division Head and later served as the Advanced Technologies & Innovation IPT Lead & Office of Research and Technology Assessment (ORTA). After retiring from NAVAIR in 2020, Chris joined AeroRoot21 LLC as CEO, where they focus on sustainment technology for the Department of Defense (DoD) and collaborates with different companies to implement emerging digital technologies. Additionally, they have worked in business development and advisory roles at SIMBA Chain, Sharp Vision Software, TechLink, ES3, nooks, Boston Engineering, and RedShred.

Chris Root attended San Diego State University from 1982 to 1987, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Aerospace Engineering.
