Chen Chen

Chen (Michael) Chen currently serves as the Vice President and Head of Business Development for Simcere Pharmaceutical Group and Akeso, Inc., focusing on business development in China and the APAC region. With a robust background in external innovation at Merck KGaA, Chen has held multiple leadership roles, including Director at Raymoon Capital Ltd. and Associate Director at WuXi AppTec, where project management and client relations with global pharmaceutical companies were key responsibilities. Chen began a career in research and development at Spirogen Ltd., with significant contributions in antibody projects and technical consultancy. Chen holds a Ph.D. in Antibody Therapeutics from Imperial College London and additional qualifications in Cancer and Immunotherapy, as well as Cell and Molecular Biology.
