Drew McAvoy

Drew McAvoy has extensive experience in electrical engineering management, currently serving as the Electrical Engineering Manager and Electrical Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) at SIMCO since November 2019. Prior to this role, Drew held positions as Electrical Engineering Manager and SCADA Engineer at Nuclear Waste Partnership, LLC from July 2012 to October 2024, and as a Relay Technician at Xcel Energy from March 2007 to November 2019. Drew's educational background includes a Bachelor of Applied Science in Energy Management from Bismarck State College (2015-2020), a degree in Electronics Engineering Technology from the Cleveland Institute of Electronics (2012-2013), and an Associate of Applied Science in Industrial Radiologic Technology/Technician from New Mexico Junior College (2006-2008).
