Peter Schousboe has a diverse work experience in the field of research and development. Peter first worked as a project researcher at the Dana Feed Research Centre in 2003. Peter then moved on to the University of Southern Denmark, where they completed two post-doctoral positions. The first post-doctoral position involved working on a protein related to Alzheimer's disease in transgenic mice. The second post-doctoral position involved investigating the effects of blood vessel damage on vascular cell proliferation and narrowing of blood vessels, as well as establishing a model to generate insulin-producing cells from mice pancreas. In 2011, Peter joined DB Lab as a project researcher, where they focused on analyzing human serum/plasma for biomarkers using PCR and ELISA methods. Currently, Peter serves as the Head of R&D at SIME, a company specializing in bedside digital diagnostics.
Peter Schousboe completed their Master of Science degree in Experimental Cell Biology from the University of Southern Denmark in Odense, from 1987 to 1992. Peter then went on to obtain their Ph.D. in Vascular Cell Biology from the same institution, where they studied from 1994 to 1998.
