Leo (Leonard) Nel

Leo Nel has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Leo (Leonard) is currently employed as the Director of Product & Support Services at Simio Software since November 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Digital Twin Delivery Manager for the same company from October 2019 to November 2022.

Leo worked at Shadowmatch/PeopleSync SA from July 2010 to September 2019, where they held the position of Specialist Associate & Director.

Prior to that, Leo worked at Synchrony Logistics from July 2007 to June 2010. Leo (Leonard) served as the Director of Supply Chain & Modelling and later as the Manager of Supply Chain Solutions.

In 2007, Leo briefly worked as a Consultant at Innovative Solutions from March to June.

Earlier in their career, Leo held various positions at eFREIGHT from June 2003 to February 2007. Leo (Leonard) started as a Senior Application Engineer and later became the Professional Services Manager.

Leo also has experience as the Owner of Greystoke Adventures, an adventure-based experiential facility that focused on life skills development and entrepreneurial skills. Leo (Leonard) held this position from January 2001 to September 2004.

Leo started their career at NEDCOR IT as a Network Security Architect from July 1994 to July 1997.

Leo's earliest work experience was at Datavia (Transnet) where they worked as an Assistant Network Engineer from April 1992 to June 1994.

Leo Nel's education history is as follows:

From 1992 to 1994, Leo attended the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria and obtained a B.Sc. (Honors) degree in Bio Medical Engineering.

Prior to that, from 1988 to 1991, Leo pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Electrical & Electronics at North-West University / Noordwes-Universiteit.

Leo completed their high school education at Highschool Ferdinand Postma from 1983 to 1987. The specific degree and field of study during high school are unknown.

In addition to their formal education, Leo has obtained certifications outside of their academic studies. In November 2018, they earned the "Introduction to Simulation and Scheduling: Level 1 Certification" from Simio LLC. Leo also acquired the "Simio Online Learning Series: Level 2 Certification (SIMLAB-Certified)" from the same institution in May 2019.
