Ben Walker is currently the VP of Operations at Simon Data. Ben has previous experience working as a Case Team Leader at Bain & Company, where they led a sub-team defining the operating model for several components of the bank's re-organized digital division. Ben also organized client workshops, collected feedback, generated consensus, and supported client sponsors presenting their work to Exec level decision makers.
Before Bain & Company, Ben worked as a private equity group analyst conducting commercial due diligence on targets in industries ranging from beer to plastic injection molding to specialty chemicals. Ben also created market and financial models based on primary and secondary research, including analyzing large market databases, scraping web and social media data, and interviewing extensive industry expert panels.
Most recently, Ben worked as a leading online UK retailer where they created and implemented a pricing prioritization scheme through developing a prioritization model, co-developing pricing guidelines/playbooks for each of 14 product lines, and obtaining buy-in on action plans from business heads. Ben also conducted market analysis of online UK retail and consumer credit in support of client bid solicitation process and analyzed customer sentiment to develop a customer testing plan to support a critical portfolio decision.
Ben Walker has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from MIT Sloan School of Management, a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Linguistics from Rice University, and an Associate of Arts (A.A.) in Mandarin Chinese from the Defense Language Institute.
