Joy Bertan serves as the Vice President of Talent Acquisition at Simon & Schuster since June 2011, overseeing a global talent acquisition strategy, recruitment operations, talent development, and diversity initiatives. Prior to this role, Joy excelled as a Senior Recruiter at Greenwich Associates and as a Senior Recruitment Manager at Synapse Group Inc., where significant improvements in recruiting efficiency were achieved. Additional experience includes managing finance staffing needs at Time Inc. and working as a Retained Recruiter for notable clients including Coca Cola and General Mills. Joy began a career in recruitment after obtaining a BS in Interpersonal and Organizational Speech Communications from Syracuse University.
