Stan Yan is a Denver-based artist and educator specializing in kidlit book illustration and comics. Currently serving as a professor at Cuddlefish Academy and an author for Simon & Schuster, Yan also holds the position of Co-Regional Advisor for the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. With extensive experience in teaching sequential art as an adjunct professor at Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design, Yan has contributed to numerous educational initiatives, including the Graphic Storytelling degree program at Community College of Aurora. A self-taught artist with a background in accounting from the University of Colorado Boulder, Yan has worked as a freelance cartoonist, comic artist, and writer/illustrator since 1998, alongside various roles as an art instructor for summer camps and workshops throughout Denver.
