John Spiro

John Spiro is currently the Senior Vice President and Senior Scientist at the Simons Foundation Autism Research Initiative (SFARI). They previously served as the Interim Director and Deputy Scientific Director at SFARI and held editorial roles at Nature Publishing Group, including Senior Editor for both Nature and Nature Neuroscience. John earned a PhD in Biology with a focus on Neuroscience from the University of California, San Diego, and holds a BA in Biology with a concentration in Neuroscience from Haverford College, alongside completing a postdoctoral fellowship at Duke University.
