Laura Splan is a transdisciplinary artist whose work spans the intersections of science, technology, and culture. Currently an Artist-in-Residence at the Beall Center for Art + Technology at UC Irvine, they focus on research and production for an upcoming installation in The Getty’s PST: Art x Science series. Splan's collaborative projects include "Sticky Settings" with theoretical biophysicist Adam Lamson, and they have held various teaching and visiting artist roles at institutions such as Stanford University and Mills College. Their research and artworks have been supported by notable foundations, resulting in exhibitions and features in esteemed venues and publications. Additionally, Splan is the founder and director of Plexus Projects Space.
