Sonya Hanson

Sonya Hanson is a highly experienced research scientist and project leader at the Simons Foundation / The Flatiron Institute since January 2021. Previously, Sonya held postdoctoral researcher positions at the Max Planck Institute of Biophysics, Columbia University in the City of New York, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Additionally, Sonya volunteered at the Center for Advancing Innovation and served as Editor in Chief for the Oxbridge Biotech Roundtable Review. Sonya earned a DPhil in Biochemistry from the University of Oxford and a B.S. in Biophysics with a minor in Screenwriting from the University of Southern California.
