Marcus Alt

Marcus Alt currently serves as CTO and Head of R&D at SimonsVoss Technologies GmbH | Allegion, beginning in January 2024. Previously, Marcus held various senior leadership roles at Microsoft from April 2006 to December 2023, notably as Director of the Microsoft Technology Center and Executive Briefing Center, where strategic integration efforts led to significant growth in Executive Briefings and influenced revenue. Marcus demonstrated strong leadership in multiple areas, including sales excellence, developer tools, and support practices, achieving remarkable successes such as leading the German Developer Tool business to a 27% budget overachievement in 2015 and establishing new strategic products and services. Earlier experience includes managing a .NET consulting team at TRIA IT-solutions AG and owning a consulting firm specializing in Microsoft Visual FoxPro at TMN-Systemberatung GmbH. Marcus holds a Dipl.-Ing. (FH) in Technische Informatik from Fachhochschule für Technik Esslingen.
