Brendan Herger

Brendan Herger is a highly skilled machine learning engineer with extensive experience in developing and implementing impactful ML solutions across multiple companies. Currently serving as a Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Stripe since February 2024, Brendan previously held roles including Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Uber, where Brendan generated $41 million in annual impact through various ML systems. At Convoy Inc, Brendan was instrumental in achieving significant cost reductions and increased shipment rates. Brendan's career began as a Data Engineering Intern at Lawfty, LLC., and prior to that, worked on research related to supernovae at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Brendan holds a Master of Science in Data Science and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of San Francisco, complemented by a Leadership Fellowship from Out in Front.
