Derek Heilmann

Derek Heilmann has over a decade of work experience in the field of design. Derek currently holds the position of Senior UI/UX Designer at Simple Thread since April 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior UI/UX Design Consultant at UDig, where they were responsible for UX design and strategy for websites and web apps across various industries. Derek closely collaborated with project management and engineering teams to develop user-centered interfaces. Before UDig, they served as a Creative Director at Shift Change Design from February 2007 to 2018. In addition, they have experience as a Senior Graphic Designer at Association Management Group from September 2010 to March 2017, and as a Graphic Designer from 2010 to 2012. Derek also worked as a Graphic Designer at Liquidity Services Inc from October 2009 to August 2010, where they developed marketing campaigns and collected web analytics for marketing purposes.

Derek Heilmann completed their education from 2004 to 2008 at Virginia Commonwealth University. Derek obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Advertising during this time.
