Robert Beatty

Robert Beatty has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Robert is currently working as a Software Engineer at Simple Thread since July 2021. Before that, they were a Front End Developer at R&K Solutions from April 2019 to July 2021.

Prior to their roles in the tech industry, Robert worked as a GIS Specialist at Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission from May 2017 to March 2019. In this role, they performed GIS analysis and wrote Python programs for data management tasks and geospatial processes.

Robert also has experience as a GIS Technician at Botetourt County from September 2015 to April 2017, ensuring cartographic standards and providing geospatial analysis for various departments. Robert was an Environmental Educator at Blacksburg Parks and Recreation from June 2015 to September 2015, where they led environmental education programs for young campers.

Additionally, Robert has conducted research as a Research Assistant at Miami University, studying the effects of aquatic nutrient loading on fish growth, and as a Research Intern at Potomac Riverkeeper. Robert also worked as an Office Assistant at Digestive Disease Physicians in 2011.

Robert Beatty attended Miami University from 2011 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology, with a focus on General Biology. In November 2019, they also received certification as an MCSA: BI Reporting from Microsoft.
